Questionable variations/differences of:  WILD BILL (dark green/brown...possibly just discoloration)


AIRBORNE 

 Thick eyebrows on left or thin eyebrows on right.

Thin eyebrows on left or thick eyebrows on right. 

 

 BREAKER

 Different colored eyes, eyebrows, and hair.

 

  DOC

The cross on the right arm is either a thin orange color or a thicker reddish-orange color.  Also, the thicker reddish-orange cross figure has a matte finish to the figure's hands and hair.  The thin orange cross figure has a glossy finish to the figure's hands and hair.  Orange belt on left figure or red belt on right.  The boots are also slightly different colored.

DUKE 

  Rolled sleeves: smooth hair, lines in light blonde hair, or lines in blonde hair.  Cuffed sleeves, lines in hair, or Made in China, lines in hair. The two on the right have a waist piece like a 1983 Cobra Soldier.  There are also more variations of Duke.  Pants are also of different colors.  The Made in China figure was only released on Chinese cards.

 Smooth hair on left or lines in hair on right.

Lines in light blonde hair on left or lines in dark blonde hair on right.

 Rolled sleeve on left or cuffed sleeve on right.

Made in Hong Kong with rolled sleeves on left or Made in Hong Kong with cuffed sleeves on right.  The waist piece is like a 1983 Cobra Soldier on the cuffed figure.

 Here is a variant/color difference with the mailaway bubble Duke.  The figure on the left has dark eyes/eyebrows, olive colored pants/waist,  and lines in light blond hair.  The figure on the right has light eyes/eyebrows, green colored pants/waist, and lines in dark blond hair.

 

 Dark eyes/eyebrows and lines in light blond hair or light eyes/eyebrows and lines in dark blond hair.

 

 FLASH

Light green color and light brown hair on left.  Chest is also more of an orange color than red color like the right.  The brown color of the boots and gloves are also different.  May also just be discoloring (the head is discolored on the left figure).

 

 ROCK 'N ROLL

 Light brown boots or dark brown boots.

 

 SCARLETT

 The top figure has red hair with matching red shoulder color, (along with light eyes and eyebrows) and is from 1982.  The other 2 figures are from 1983.  The left figure has maroon hair with matching maroon shoulder color and the figure on the right has orange hair with matching orange shoulder color.

 

 SHORT-FUZE

 Light eyebrows and eyes or dark eyebrows and eyes.

 Light eyebrows and eyes or dark eyebrows and eyes.

 Light eyebrows and eyes, a sealed HAWK figure (same head sculpt), or dark eyebrows and eyes.

 Dark eyebrows and eyes, a sealed HAWK figure (same head sculpt), or light eyebrows and eyes.

 

SNOW JOB 

 Orange beard on left or reddish-orange beard on right.

 Orange beard on left or reddish-orange beard on right.

 

  Dark brown shoulder straps and belt or light brown shoulder straps and belt.

 

STALKER

Green on the left or olive colored on the right. 

 

 TORPEDO

  Thin eyes and eyebrows or thick eyes and eyebrows.



TRIPWIRE

 Thin lines on upper arm or thick lines on upper arm.

 

ACE 

 Eyes, eyebrows, and hair are either red or brown.

 Waist piece is either red or maroon.

 The figure on the left (with the red hair and red waist) has thinner markings on the front of the legs.  The other figure is sealed in a bag without a file card.  There is a third version that came with a red backed file card.  That version has brown hair and eyes, thick eyebrows, a maroon waist, thick lines on the front of the legs and thick stripes across the boots.  The difference with the red backed figure is the thicker eyebrows and thick lines across the boots.

 

COVERGIRL 

 The colors of the undershirt, belt, boots, left sleeve marking, and hair are different.

 

STEELER 

  Light green clothes, thick eyes/eyebrows, gold is only halfway around on arms, and gun top is not colored gold.  Dark green clothes, eyes/eyebrows are closer to thick than thin, gold is only halfway around arms, and gun top is colored gold.  The second figure is like the 1994 FX convention figure.  Olive colored clothes (may be discolored), thin eyes/eyebrows, gold goes all the way around arms, and gun top is not colored gold.

 Thick eyebrows and eyes or thin eyebrows and eyes.

 

 Gold all the way around arms or gold only halfway around arms.

 

 TAN GRUNT

  Light brown eyes and eyebrows or dark brown eyes and eyebrows.

 

WILD BILL

 Dark green/brown or light green???

 

COBRA OFFICER
The early version of Cobra Officer had 'small' writing across the waist.  The later version had 'long' writing on the waist.  The version on the right is a mail away from 1986 and on.  1983 HISS driver and 1984 Stinger Driver have the same waist variations.  All 1983 Cobra soldiers have the 'small' writing on the waist.  If you have a Cobra soldier with 'long' writing, someone changed the waist piece with a later version of Cobra Officer.

 

DESTRO

With date stamp on inner leg or without date stamp on inner leg.

 

HISS DRIVER

The early version of HISS Driver had 'small' writing across the waist.  The later mail away version had 'long' writing on the waist.  1983 Cobra Officer and 1984 Stinger Driver have the same waist variations.

 The hand is either pink or red.  I have not seen enough of the red hand versions to know if this is a color variation or not.
